Question Transfer Request Form

Currently there isn't a tool that allows Instructors to transfer Blackboard v.8 questions into PolyLearn (Moodle 2.1). To support your transition to PolyLearn, ITS will transfer your Blackboard questions into PolyLearn for you. PolyLearn's question types are different than Blackboard, so some questions will either not transfer or will be changed, such as:

 
  • Short answer: changed to Essay
  • Calculated numeric: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Either/Or: changed to Multiple Choice
  • File response: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Fill in multiple blanks: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Fill in the blank: changed to Short Answer
  • Hot spot: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Jumbled sentence: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Opinion scale/likert: changed to Multiple Choice
  • Ordering: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Quiz bowl: will not transfer to PolyLearn
  • Multiple answer: changed to Multiple Response

NOTE: Blackboard will be unavailable for any course retrieval after Monday November 26, 2012 5:00PM PST. If you need any content, grades or test questions retrieved from Blackboard, please request content via email or test questions via this online form by 11/26.


Question transfer requests will be processed in the order received between M-F 8-5pm. This process can take days or weeks depending on the number of questions and requests. An email will be sent when your questions have been completed.

Questions will be placed in PolyLearn's Question Bank. These questions can be used within PolyLearn while creating quizzes and questionnaires.
